I've had $25 roaming around various Kiva loans for a while now. I really like the idea of micro-loans to help people improve their lives. I admit to being biased and leaning more toward female loan applicants, but that's just me. There are tons of people to choose from, all over the world.
My $25 is currently with a woman in Jordan who sells clothing. Here, if you're interested.
So, if you ever thought about trying Kiva, now's the time. They're offering free trials so you can send $25 to help someone reach their loan goal. There is a small charge for processing, though, just FYI. Like $3 or something, per loan.
